After breakfast, we lead the boys into the living room, where the "nunny", as Mackay says, left their baskets on the couch. They still didn't really care and wanted to push their dump trucks around, until Nolan noticed there was something in the baskets. He picked one up off the table, where we had moved them to get their attention, and brought it into the corner of the room, sat down, and stared at it. We pulled out the little stuffed bunnies and Mackay smiled big and said "nunny" then ran off again to play with his dump truck... one day.
They got white shirts (finally), dump truck jammies, a new shirt, little stuffed bunnies, flip flops, and some candy. We are slowly allowing them to have all of their own candy. They are obsessed with their jammies. Mackay is especially starting to notice things on his clothes and was constantly pointing to the trucks on both their jammies and saying "tra-ter".... this was probably the highlight of their baskets.
Earlier in the week we had gotten them jammies with airplanes and fire trucks as well. It is a mission to get those jammies off of Mackay, and even if we can, he carries them around until we make him leave them inside when we go outside. We've had a few jammie days because these jammies are so cute and the twins love them so much.
Uncle Ty came out for the afternoon and the boys had tons of fun playing with him outside. They loved taunting him. They would go behind his car where we couldn't see them, and wait for Ty to come get them. They loved running from him and when he caught them, he always carried them so they were hanging over his shoulders or in another fun position. They thought it was hilarious. They loved when Uncle Ty threw them in the air, so mama stood behind him, and we took some pretty awesome pictures.
