December

Since our train ride, we've had lots of Christmas fun.  Lots of shopping and playing.  We even made our own ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree!  We can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve.  AHH!  We are SO excited.  Here are a few more December photos, so the next post isn't 50 pages long!

We've been getting lots and lots of snow.  One day while we were napping daddy was supposed to be shoveling the sidewalk.  This is what we woke up to instead!  What a good daddy!  We sure love him!

We went to see the lights at Temple Square.

And stopped for a photo in front of the tree at City Creek, we were just cold and ready to go home!

Painting our tree ornaments!

What a mess!  We headed straight to the bath!

Our masterpieces!

It took a few days, but we trusted mama and now lay down in the bath to rinse our hair!
It's still a little scary, but we are very brave and have lots of fun!

Sam's Show (by mama)

At the beginning of December, Sam got together with his old band members and played a show.  It was nostalgic for both of us.  This band, that venue, those songs... if it wasn't for those things we never would have met.  If it weren't for Sam's dream and his pursuit of it and his amazing talent... anyway... it was so much fun to be there again and to watch him doing what he loves.  I miss it.  Walking out of that show and picking the boys up literally felt like stepping into a different life.  They both screamed "mommy!" and ran up to give me huge hugs.  Two very different, very good, lives.  I can't wait for them to get a little bigger so they can come places like that with us.

My being a small little girl, it's hard for me to meander through people.  I got a few shots but turned my camera over to Sam's brother Nate.  He's much better at meandering around people than I am and got some great shots.  I just really want to share them and share how great he is.  I love him.

(This is one of the few I got)

Thanks to NS Innovative for for the rest of these shots.  (I did do a little editing)

Train!

One Saturday morning we woke up and wanted to head to City Creek (the mall in down town Salt Lake) so we got packed up and into the Explorer, but it was very snowy and we were worried we might get stuck downtown, so mama half jokingly said "maybe we should take the train".  We've been avoiding taking the boys on the train, even though they LOVE trains, because they are so busy we thought it would be very difficult.  We really wanted to let them play on the dinosaurs and do some Christmas shopping at the Disney store, so we decided to try.  They were SO good.  They loved the train.  The sat so nice and just watched out the windows.  Even on the way home, Mackay stood the whole ride, but stayed in his seat.  The didn't try to get up or anything.  No crying about getting off... nothing.  They loved the whole day and mama loved the photo opportunity their calmness provided.

And mama just really loves these photos we got during the first snow storm, so we're just going to share a few of those too.

Mackay was really not happy about pictures this day, but Nolan was happy to let mama snap a few.

And this one... just because.  This is how we eat breakfast these days.  They want the bag.  Some days on the table.  They actually say "cereal a table" or "cereal bag".  This day they dumped some so mama moved the bag a bit.  They're just funny.
